Originally from the prairies of Saskatchewan, Canada, Wendy Stoneham has a unique background that has shaped her into the successful real estate professional she is today. Growing up, Wendy was no stranger to hard work, spending her days steering tractors, participating in cross-country rallies, and even throwing lobster traps. After moving to Alberta, she dedicated 17 years to raising her own family, all while building a strong foundation in business.
Wendy’s career took off as she honed her negotiating and management skills while working with industry giants such as the Walt Disney Company and IKEA. She generously shared her expertise by mentoring Entrepreneur Program students at the University of Calgary, further solidifying her reputation as a knowledgeable and experienced professional in the field.
A pivotal moment in Wendy’s life occurred during a vacation to Guanacaste, Costa Rica, where she fell in love with the warm-hearted people, rich culture, and stunning weather. This led her to make her first property investment in the country, followed by a second land purchase and home construction. Wendy’s passion for Costa Rica shines through in her work at Blue Water Properties, where she helps clients from Playas del Coco to Samara find their own piece of paradise.
