About Us
Welcome to MÍRAME Fine Art, the premier destination for discovering and acquiring artwork from Costa Rica’s top artists.
I am Belinda Seppings, co-founder of MÍRAME Fine Art, in partnership with my colleague Jonathan Baldock. Together, we’ve pioneered a platform dedicated to championing the country’s most important and influential artists while recognizing and nurturing its emerging talent.
After completing my studies at Christie’s Education and gaining extensive experience in the London art scene, including my time at London’s renowned White Cube art gallery, I now call Costa Rica my seasonal home, residing with Jonathan in Playas del Coco, Guanacaste. Immersing myself in this country’s artist communities has brought immense joy, yet I was disheartened to discover the lack of visibility and support faced by these artists. Recognising the serious art scene here in Costa Rica, one that extends far beyond the typical tropical offerings found in tourist stores led to the inception of MÍRAME Fine Art. Our platform aims to promote their artwork while providing education and inspiration not only to visitors and residents of Costa Rica, but to anyone in the world.
Jonathan, with a decade of experience at LinkedIn and a background working in information technology recruitment, brings a wealth of knowledge to MÍRAME Fine Art. His extensive knowledge of innovative technology solutions, paired with his expertise in sales and marketing, enhances the sophistication of our platform’s framework.
We carefully select each artist, spend time visiting their studios, and learn the intricacies of their practice. This journey has been incredibly enriching, and we are eager to extend the experience to you.
