Have you ever seen Bernard, walking around town, camera in hand, looking for that perfect shot? Originally, he is French, but he calls Costa Rica his home since 1998, when he came to visit a friend and never left. Since then, he captures the town’s history with breath-taking photographs. His passion, he says, is to imortalize the natural beauty of everyday life.
Q. What inspires you to take pictures everyday?
B. The inspiration is all around me: the animals, the landscapes, the sunsets, but mostly the
people, I love to give them memories.
Q. What are you looking to capture in a photo?
B. A natural photo, a real smile, an unique moment, a little piece of life.
Q. Where do you want to take your photography? Any goals?
B. Well, here my photography is mostly a gift. A gift to my friends and the town that welcomed me
with open arms. I do make money here and in France, through photographing events, photosessions
and participating exhibits, but for me, its only a way to keep doing what I love.
