Café del Sol Bistro & Bakery

If you haven’t visited the small town of Potrero in Guanacaste, now is the right time. If you have been here before, it’s also the right time to come back and enjoy everything new that this attractive coastal town has to offer.

We are referring to the recently inaugurated Café del Sol, in a new corner building featuring Mediterranean-style architecture. It’s located where the well-known “golden mile” begins, diagonal to Hotel Bahia del Sol.

Inside this gastronomic center you can enjoy four different ambiances and concepts, with an amazing variety of exclusive and original food and beverage offerings.

On the ground floor you will find the Beach Bistro, an exquisite restaurant offering breakfast, lunches, and dinners. The diverse menu selections include artisanal pizzas, homemade pastas, ragu, ceviches and fresh seafood. There are also vegetarian and gluten-free dishes for all the tastes and trends.

Adjacent to the Bistro, also housed in a ground-floor space, the Bakery is situated under deciduous trees and surrounded by gardens. It’s a unique place to enjoy an afternoon with coffee or tea, or any other of the high-quality specialties, accompanied by a delicious tartlet, brioche or scone.

On the second floor above, a welcoming ambiance awaits in the Terrace Bar & Lounge. It’s dedicated to satisfying the most demanding beer palates, with very comfortable furniture and surroundings ideal for teleworking. Order ceviches and tapas, while enjoying the best live music, videos and important sport events on the flat-screen TVs placed in convenient spots. We will keep you posted on our social media.

If you are into the latest cocktails and mixology, head up to the third floor, where sunset views are just one reason why Rooftop is the most exclusive bar in the area. From an ample central bar you can sample a great variety of wines, beers, gins and more. Our bartenders are trained to offer the kind of customer service you deserve, in a modern atmosphere that includes great music. DJ parties are frequent in this venue. We will keep you posted.
